In John 14:6, Jesus says “I am the way and the truth and the life.”  In Latin, way, truth and life are via, veritas and vita.  We’ve adopted this as our mission slogan.  Veritas Church strives to relate to Jesus Christ in all of these aspects.  We seek to love, obey, and follow Christ as He leads us to love one another and the world. 

We believe the WAY in which Christ accomplishes His Kingdom tasks today is through His Body, the CHURCH.  The Church is Christ’s established and chosen agent of change in a lost and fallen world.  Church planting is Biblically mandated and time tested, and is still the primary method of transforming the culture for Christ.  We are planting this Church in order to BE THE BODY of Christ in the Seattle area.

We believe the TRUTH of SCRIPTURE and the Gospel of Christ is unbending, unchanging, and undying.  Yet, it is also thoroughly applicable to every person, every culture, and every good work.  It is this Gospel alone that must be boldly proclaimed in order to see people come to Jesus Christ.  We are planting this Church in order to TEACH THE TRUTH of Christ to the Seattle area.

We believe the LIFE of a Christian is marked by the tension of proclaiming the living Christ within a fallen CULTURE.  Christ engaged the culture around Him in order to reach people where they were with His message.  We believe the Church should follow His example as we seek to be His missionaries within the culture around us.  We are planting this Church in order to LIVE THE LIFE of Christ in the Seattle area.
